A big question on the minds of many people is what really goes on inside of Google ?
Until now only a handful of select people outside of Google have ever had the privilage of seeing one of these meetings. Have you ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors at Google ? Now for the first time ever, you can get a sneak peek inside Google.
Every week Google holds a meeting with it’s higghest members of the Google search quality team. The board room is filled with some of the brightest minds on the planet – who also happen to work at Google. Matt Cutts , Amit Singhal and Ben Gomes to name a few. The purpose of these weekly meetings is to discuss and review proposed changes to Google search results algorithm. They discuss new features they have been working on and review data from real life testing.
Good results and postive changes get approved and will go live online right away for everyone to benefit. Changes that perform poorly are sent back for further development or scrapped for good.
Google announced that as part of thier committment to be more transparent about how search works, they are releasing some video footage form thier internal weekly search meeting “Quality Lunch Review.”
I hope you enjoy the video and gain some insight to what Google is trying to accomplish with search results.
When making web pages for your website it is important to think about the end user. The searcher, your potential customer. Who are they and what are they looking for ? Try to think about how they think. What is going through thier mind. Try to put yourself in thier shoes for a few moments. Try to get inside thier heads. Do this and more likley you will be successful in creating web pages that speak to your ideal client.
